Chemical Warfare
1. Agent Orange and Agent Blue
US dropped Agent Orange on highly populated areas. These bombs were mostly
dropped in North Vietnam to maim 17 million Vietnamese. Chemical bombs were dropped to burn forests and trees down to destroy the hiding places of Vietnamese. In 1969 alone, 1, 034, 300 hectares of forest was wiped and caused significant chromosomal damage in people.
In 1962, John F. Kennedy commanded for the Agent Orange to be dropped to burn forests and trees down to destroy the hiding places of Vietnamese. In 1969 alone, 1, 034, 300 hectares of forest was wiped and caused significant chromosomal damage in people.
It has been confirmed that approximately 500, 000 civilians died from health issues such as Chronic B-cell Leukemias, Prostate Cancer, Ischemic Heart Disease etc caused by the chemical bombs during the Vietnam War. 10% of the entire Vietnam was intensively sprayed with 72million litres of chemicals, of which 66% was Agent Orange. In 2003 it was reported that 650, 000 people in Vietnam were still suffering from chronic conditions as a result of the use of chemicals the US troops have dropped in
Vietnam during the Vietnam War. The effects of these chemicals are still being seen today, with inordinately high levels of poisons, dioxins, cancers and birth defects among Vietnamese who live in affected areas.
Another chemical called Agent Blue was used. This chemical is not as well-known as the Agent Orange however its negative impact on the Vietnamese was colossal. 688, 000 agricultural acres were destructed between the short period time of 1962 and 1969. Vietnam civilians were mostly affecting by the Agent Blue and suffered from the poor rice harvests.

US Government
However, the US government denied the fact that the Agent Orange and Agent Blue were causing serious illness in Vietnam and it only had a negative short term impact on the environment. US government also produced a report in St. Louis Dispatch in 1970s about the dropping of poison in Vietnam to support their argument that it was not poisonous. |
Science reveals the Truth
Agent Orange was found to be containing TCCD which is one of the most harmful toxics. This remains in the land of Vietnam even today, and it continues to destroy the lives of humans, animals and plants. |
Witness of Deformity
A 19 year old girl called Hong Hanh is a Vietnamese whose mother was exposed to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. She is trapped in a little kid’s body with disjointed spidery strides which leaves her soaked in sweat. Her toes and fingers stick together before they drop off, and she is losing their physical body bit by bit every day. Hong Hanh has a 11 Year old sister who always has the same symptoms as her. What is more horrific is that in one of the most biggest cities of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, it is filled with people like Hong Hanh hidden behind the doors, slowly and painfully dying away.

2. Napalm
Napalm was used to destory the villages in order to defeat the Vietnamese soldiers that were hiding.Reportedly about 388,000 tons of U.S. napalm bombs were dropped in the region between 1963 and 1973. A chemical bomb that is made of plastic polystyrene, hydrocarbon benzene, and gasoline. Napalm is a sticky gel which will stick and urn anything up to ten minutes when ignited. Water boils at 212°F. Napalm generates temperatures 1,500°F to 2,200°F. Therefore, it severely burnt the clothes and skin of the Vietnamese in seconds, and many suffered , asphyxiation, unconsciousness, if they survived the napalm.
Effects on the Civilians US
Air force dropped napalm bombs to destroy the home of Vietnamese and forests. However, because one single bomb is capable of destroying areas up to 2,500 square yards, it also killed endless number of Vietnamese. The ¾ of all napalm victims in Vietnam were burned through to the muscle and bone which is known as the fifth degree burns. Most died from the severe burning of their bodies or asphyxiation. There were not many survivors of the Napalm bomb and even if there were any, they suffered for a lifetime
